Bad rash after birth

It's been a week since I had my baby boy and I've noticed I've got a really bad rash. Its all over my legs, stomach, hips, and butt. Seems to be where I gained all the weight. It itches really badly and is red with little bumpsI was just wondering if this was apart of postpartum or is it something else. if it is what kind of ointment should I use?

sounds like ppups...i had it..but i was still pregant with my son..not after i gav birth...and the icthy..drove me nuts..i totally lost it...nothing helps it..u hav to go see ur doc...and get meds....over the counter stuff..isnt going to work...look it up...ppups...im pretty sure that is it

yeah I tried everything to relieve it I guess I'll give her a call tomorrow about getting rid of it thanks.

OMG I just want to say I'm sorry this rash is what is only letting me sleep at most 4 hours at night. I have it now and I'm miserable. Benadry every 4-6 hours helps a little and I also take oatmeal baths, the walgreen brand. The hydrocortisone cream and the sedative they gave me doesn't do anything. Sometmes the sarna anti itch lotion relieves for a few too.

Supposively this rash is common w/women carrying boys, big babies or twins although I am not certain my boy is taht huge. Basically your allergic to his fetal dna its very odd.

Oh ok so thats why I had very big baby boy. I think I started having it before he was born on my stomach but I figured it was just from the stretch marks and that no itch oil from palmers wasn't working. Hm... well thanks again I'll look it up I'm pretty sure I got it though.

yep its what I have I just looked it up and thank god there's a cure! I think my baby has a little of it too is that normal as well and does he have to take medicine for it?

that im not sure...im pretty sure my doc put my on steriods when i got it...and i had to go once a week and monitor his heartbeat..cause it causes the baby stress..but everything worked out fine..and now is he a healthy but bratty 11 yr old brat...

is puppp will gone? if yes what did u do? how long does it takes to completely disappear
