I am crying so hard

My husbands friend Eric just called. Our friend Dustin is in the army with them. His wife is a good friend and I love their little boy. Well last night Dustin comitted suicide. He shot himself. My heart aches for his wife and their baby. My heart hurts because I know my own man feels the same guilt, hurt, and pain that Dustin felt. I am so terribly sad and I never want to feel how she must feel. I support our troops 150% but i hate how their pain is so immense and intense and there is nothing we can do.

I am saddened by this and I never want my daughter to feel how his son will feel one day when he understands.

I cant believe such a beautiful person with a beautiful life would feel so alone.

I was at an NA meeting not too long ago
And there was a guy there that was in the I believe Vietnam War
He said that everyday he wakes up he wants to take a gun to his head just because of all the pain he saw there
He said that he couldnt ever talk to anyone about it because it was haunting him
I know what you mean when you say that they shouldnt go through that
I support the troops as well
But I believe that in reality were not just harming the people over there
We are mentally harming our own soldiers
I think that its horrible
Ill keep your friends in my thoughts

With a father that was in Vietnam and a husband who is in the military my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family and his wife and child. Im so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry. That's really tragic. And I think just being with your friend is most important. Even if you have nothing to say.

wow im so sorry. you know whats crazy? ray's cousin died last night in his sleep from a massive heart attack. he was only 40. or barely 40. hes on his way to miami to go to the funeral. im surprised the navy let him go.

and you know what will make her feel a little better? a big hug. i hope she feels better. and only time will heal that pain.

and i agree with how you never want to feel that pain. some guy on a different sub from ray dies in iraq from an ied. and i was just in tears. i told him as soon as his time is up were going to get a civilian job. its so sad how you cant do anything to make everyting just disappear

sometimes its just being there that lets her know someone cares. eventually she will talk until then just be her friend,

Oh, I am so sorry! It is so hard to lose one of our guys, isn't it? Always that sneaking sense that it could have been OUR service member.

Please try to go see your friend. She doesn't need you to say or do anything but love her right now. There will be too many people who don't call or come over because they are scared and don't know what to say.

Oh, that poor family.
