weight loss after pregnancy?..little worried.

so i had my baby 2 weeks ago to the day. i kno that's not long ago but i feel like i should be smaller by now. i wasn't a big girl by no means before. i mean i had some muscle an was about 130-135 before i got pregnant. and i gained alot during but i also had a pretty big baby. but i've only lost about 20 somethin pounds. a few days after i had her i got an infection. so i was sick. but i don't get why my stomach stil hasn't got small it's jus gross lookin. i was wondering is this normal??????? like how long did it take u guys to get to ur normal body?? i mean it worries me some.

I'm still not back to normal and i'm almost 11 months pp. I gained 35 pounds and had a baby that was 9 pounds 2.3 oz. Lost around 20 after i had him. I'm under my pre-pregnancy weight now and look nothing like i did before.

It's different for everybody

Everyone keeps telling me: It takes 9 months to gain the weight, you will not lose it all over night.
  Makes me nervous that I'll never fit in my cute james jeans ever again!

oh no, tell your family to shut it....you'll be fine...just eat right and talk lots of walks...give it about 6-9 months and you will be fine...and sit ups if yoru trying to lose the giggle int he tummy! you'll be fine and you look beautiful to me either way!

Your family doesn't know how your body should be. They are insensitive for saying that. I am 6 weeks PP and lost only 33 out of 63! the thing is though, our bodies have been devestated with the joy of a new life! It will take time. Don't rush it. It's only been a couple weeks anyway.

Also it takes 6 weeks for your uterus to return to normal size, so a lot of your belly is because your uterus is still enlarged.

I gained 63 and have 30 to go. You only gained about as much as what I have left to lose. I'm the one people were calling "shallow" because of only losing 33 lbs. It's not about the amount of weight lost, it's about how much there is left. I have a lot more than a lot of people because I gained above average.
