Baby's hospital bag/diaper bag for later.

posted 24th Jun
Hey mommies with experience.... or any mommy that wants to answer. I packed my baby's hospital bag, let me know if I'm missing anything or if you took something different and random that was helpful. I need a double checker. This is just for the baby, not me. It's also how I plan on having her diaper bag. So hopefully changing this will provide less confusion.

This doubles as my diaper bag to be ready to go after the hospital as well, so it's not over packed for the hospital, just ready for how I want it.

Outfits, onesies, and blankets are in the laundry. that includes socks, and little hand glove things, shoes, beanie...etc.

boobie leaking pads.
three bottles (i'm breasting feeding, i'm just bringing a variety just incase.]
hospital will provide a paci if I want it.
hospital provides nipple sheilds and breast pumps
similac formula for breast feeding moms just in case. it was free from the hospital I'm laboring at. lol
huge pack of wipes more than i'll need
pack of swaddler's diapers
disinfectant wipes
milk storage bags, not for the hospital though.
baby powder, lotion, shampoo, bodywash, butt creme, and aquaphor
random teething ring that must've fallen in by accident?

The hospital where I had my son had all the diapers, wipes, powder, lotion, shampoo etc in the room for the baby already. I had planned on breastfeeding, but while I was asleep my husband let them give my son formula, and they had the bottle and formula too. So you might want to just call and ask what they provide before you go packing all of your stuff with you. Good luck!

my hospital doesn't provide some of the things I am taking.

It's also her diaper bag, so it will be ready to go for after the hospital too.

The only thin gyou should need is a nursing nightgown, panties, nursing bra and pads, socks and specific pads if you don't want to use theirs, for you.

For the baby, they provide everything while you are there. ( or they should)

Things you would need for baby are:
Outfit to wear home
receiving blanket (if needed)
Socks
Car seat

Everything else like diapers, bottles, formula, binki, wipes are all provided by the hospital when you are there. Good luck with baby.

Don't overpack now... lol... you won't need a teething ring just yet!;) My hospital (and all I believe)provided diapers and wipes so you may wanna save yours and use the free ones! I also don't think they will let you use the little mittens in the hospital because they don't wanna get sued..always trying to protect themself...ya know just incase a hair or string gets caught on the babies finger and you can't tell cause the mitten is on. Like I said...DON'T overpack... just bring what you need. I don't think you need breastmilk bags to save your milk seeing as you probably won't make much milk until you get home when your milk comes in. I breastfeed for 10 months and never once used one of these freezer bags... BEST OF LUCK

Mine doesn't provide bottles. They have lotion and bulbs, brushes, etc, but some of what I packed they don't give you. Stingy hospital. I was there for my friends labor recently and we felt jipped. LOL.

It's also my diaper bag, so it's ready for after hospital use, too. The bags aren't for the hospital those are just in there for me.

And I don't know how the teething ring got in the bag, I've never seen it before. That was also stated.

They provide a shirt with mittens on it. And they used them on my friends baby recenty. Like a month ago. So it must vary from state to state.

That's all I brought too.  But it was winter so I got a blanket also.  I would just bring those things.
