Have you ever thought about writiing a letter to your unborn

posted 24th Jun
My SIL gave me a baby book a week after she found out I was pregnant. My husband and I have been filling it out as we go along. There is a section for a letter to the baby, and I have thought about writing one. I'm just not sure what to say. I have so much I want to tell her.
What would you include in your letter if you wrote one to your unborn child?

Funny that you posted this. I just wrote my letter in the baby book today. (My daughter is 10 days old). Basicly I just told her that I love her and that she completes me. I told her that I always want her to keep God first in her life and that I'll always be here for herno matter what.

Thats a good question.. there are so many emotions that go through your head at this time.. how are you supposed to put them all on paper??! It would take me a few rough drafts to get it right i think

Almost every baby book these days has that letter to the unborn baby. How sweet is that? My sister wrote a small one in the book and wrote a long letter telling the baby what she experienced during the pregnancy and wait she anticipated and looking forward to. I think it is something great that your baby can cherish thier entire life.

Or even so they can hear your voice, record something like a home video of you talking to your belly and letting them know what has happened so far so they can actually watch it and see the emotions rather than putting it on paper.

I made my own preggo book and it like a diary of letters to my baby. I just dont know when Im going to give it to her either when she like 18 or when she has her own kid. I write everything in there and its interesting to see how my way of thinking has changed through out. I was more spiritual at first and now as it gets closer to my due dateI worry about her physical being. But its good to jot down what Im feeling for the day or poems, pictuers, and even little drawings and keepsakes from special occasions

I wrote one to my daughter, it ended up being two pages long, and I was just planning on writing a paragraph. If you want some ideas of what to put in there, let me know. I will even let you read it.

When i was 17 and prego with my first i was given a 5 year diary for christmas from my mum, It was a nice thick winnie the pooh one. It had a message from her my dad and my 2 sisters and brother and also my dh (wasnt married at the time lol) Anyway. Instead of writing about random things in it i wrote a sort of pregnancy diary and wrote directly to the baby. And then obv when he was born i wrote about the birth and his weight and all those deatails. So i know its not exsactly like a letter but i thought id let you know what i did. I still write in it but i think its a lovely touch to the begining of a diary and when he is old enough he can read it.

I actually got around to writing a letter about a week ago, and my daughter is 14 months. If you would like to read it to get an idea of what to write I'd be more than happy to send it to you in PM.

I just pretty much wrote the changes she has made in my life, how much I love her and what she means to me.
