of course! i write her a weekly letter as it is. i tell her what's going on with mommy's body, how i feel, the cravings i have, the reactions of those around me, how we found out we were having her, what it was like to hear her heartbeat, what it was like to see her for the first time on an U/S, finding out she was a she and how that felt...that sort of stuff.
i also tell her how loved she is, how much daddy is looking forward to meeting her (as well as her other family members) and how we are both so blessed and excited! i've also written to her about how complete she's making me and how i'm proud to be her mother already.

Thanks girlies. I am so nervous to write a letter to my daughter. I think I want to include some things my mom gave to me...I seemed to understand poems and words from a "greeting card" more than I could when someone would talk to me. Maybe I can find a card or two to put in her book, also.

At my baby shower the host bought paper and envelopes and had everyone draw a number (which were ages newborn-21) some where drawn twice b/c there were so many ppl there, but each person wrote a letter to the baby for that specific birthday and the envelopes are sealed, so each birthday he will get to open a letter from someone different! I thought it was a really cool idea. (hopefully I can keep up with them all until each birthday!)

IDK , I think I would like to write stuff to my son. Like treat women with respect. Growing up there was a little boy who use to terrorize me, and I have told my 9 yr old Brother, soon-to-be 10, not to treat girls that he likes in a mean way. It just hurts their feelings and confuses girls. quoteI have 1 child & live in

My Aunt bought me a book about writing letters to your baby but basically I have this little pad and everytime I think of something or feel something new I write it down and I have a file folder with all the little scraps in it. One day I will give it to my little girl :-) The file folder and the nice little note pad took the pressure off writing a big long letter and I can do it all the time

I had never thought of writing a letter to my unborn baby until my mom gave me my baby book. In it is a letter that she wrote to me when she was pregnant with me. I'll admit I started crying. I just imagined my mom allpregnant and read the words she wrote. Then looked down at my own pregnant belly and realized that I felt so many of the same things towards my baby. I wrote a letter to my son and one to my daughter too. I havent doneone this time yet, but I will soon. I basically wrote a letter to my kids telling them about howhappy I was to be having them, my dreams of them. I told them about the way the world waswhile I was pregnant with them and what I wished for their future and that no matter what their Mommy (and Daddy)is someone they can ALWAYS come to no matter what happens.

I have a whole journal for my son... from the day I found out I was having him, first time I felt him kick, etc... until now... and he's 13 months. I think it's a special way to show them how much you love them, wanted them and dreamed of them.
