re: Buying a house near the end of pregnancy

We are in the process of looking for a house as we speak house prices are down and this is the best time for us kinda lol..... our apartment/rent house now is really a shack i can relate to you living in not so good housing... i worry about the baby being in this house.... we put in a bid on a house about 2 weeks ago and it was the perfect house too but someone put a CASH bid on it the same day we put in our bid and we lost it ......it was very upsetting for me and my husband.... our budget doesn't really allow us to get a big fancy house but we are going to get something that we can move in to now and then fix up along the way....the houses in our area are really not priced bad(you can get a 3 bed 2 bath for 50 to 70,000) its just we have to make sure we can pay for it in the long run..... and with everything going up we are starting to get worried....cause i don't work and i really wanted to stay home with the baby to save on babysitter fees.....AND LIKE I SAID no one seems to understand why i am freaking out about not having a place for the baby...i was joking around with my husband last night and said i guess i can put her bassinet in the closet lol....i just would like to have everything set up and ready and be able to find what i want when i want it when she comes home.....i just feel like i am being a brat or a cry baby sometimes about all of this lol....it really starting to wear me down LOL....but if we don't find a house to buy soon i am just going to start looking for a new house to rent...sorry for the long ass reply lol...

I totally know what your feeling though...i have been tryin to get my hubby to move out of his dads crappy smoke filled house for a long time...first we were going to get an apartment then his mom said no then she said yes and i looked then she chagned her mind..its so frustrating cuz right when you get excited everything changes..so finally i just gave up an decided no more gettin my hopes up im just gonna do my thing and if they have the balls to stop being his dads bitches then they can follow...but someone had to step up..im just tired of living under his dads house and rules when he doesnt even livve there! I hate it! I felt like such a witch a lot of the time cuz i was like no this isnt good enough i want better...and i felt bad since my hubby couldnt get anybetter without his moms approval since he cant just leave her on her own like his dad did!! Yea is sucks but sometimes you just gotta step up to the plate and know what you want and say this is how its gonna be...its hard when you only have enough money for certain things..we could have got a bigger house for the same amount of money but i like this one...its small and power will be a lot less!! You'll feel so much better when you finally get your own place..and can say its your own...i cant wait till you find something tho..itll make you feel so much better!! Thats the same thing we are going to do.. buy something that we can fix up along the way.. my hubby is really good w/ construction and whatnot and he can do pretty much anything so thats a plus. I just want to find something that isnt a total dump since its going to be so hard to do anything with a new baby or a new baby almost here.

i know how you feel...your not going to want to do any major house work when the baby comes plus you can 't really do it cause baby's get sick easy...i have been threw this with my husband lol...... this this a god send to have you ladies here to talk to...now i know i'm not the only one

my husband does what ever his dad whats him to thats another reason we are getting hung up with finding a house... his dad has to go with us to ever house and look at it with us like we are not able to pick a good place for our selfs....granted his dad is helping us out but i don't know if i want that pain in my ass at the same time LOL.... in laws can be a pain... i know my dad gets on my husbands bad side sometimes but his dad wants us to be up his butt all the time.....i just feel like we will never find something that fits us and his dad.....and i think our Realtor is getting pissed at us most of the time....

I'm 29 weeks and we just moved into our new house this past weekend. I started packing about a month before the move so packing wasn't the bad part. It's the unpacking that's taking forever. The baby's nursery needs painting but I probably won't start that for another couple weeks.
