I made a diaper cake! Link to instructions on how to make yo

I made this diaper cake for my shower. They are actually pretty pricey to make, I now understand why people charge so much for them. This costed at least $55 to make and I used cheap target brand diapers. I ended up needing more diapers than the instructions called for, but I used a 16 oz bottle of baby lotion at the base. It was extremely easy to make.

any way it turned out really cute and I enjoyed doing it. It only took an hour and a half to make, with the help of my mom and grandma.

How cute! I had someone use those little hooded towels and baby washclothes to make a cake and they gave it to me as a gift. I hated to take it apart to use the stuff.

This my unfinished diaper cake! I agree they are very expensive I didn't add to much to it and I only added target diapers. I was dissapointed that the only diapers that were plain were pampers which are super expensive!

My friend made me one for my first shower (I wish I had pics to put up), it was 5 layers and there were tons of diapers in there (she used the same ones you did, the Target brand) and she put so many of the little things I needed on the cake and then topped it with a stuffed animal. She didn't do the little ribbons on each diaper though and that is really cute. I know my mom is making me one for this weekend, so lets hope it is as cute as yours!

I still have both of mine. I don't want to take them apart! Mine is made totally of diapers, no styrofoam thingy in the middle. I'm going to take it apart eventually, we're talking 200 + diapers on that thing!

Wow thats big, looks great. I thought about adding more layers, but before you know it i'll have all my diapers rolled up and when she gets here it will kill me to take it apart. I even bought some huggies to use on it but they were strangely patterned and I decided against it. I think the designs on the target brand are cuter than all the others anyway.

I made a diaper wreath. That was so much fun! I'm going to try a cake next this time.

You made your own diaper cake for your shower??

Well my mom paid for most of it, but I really enjoyed making it. Decorations give me something to do while my husbands at work.
