Hey if she is willing to put the money up for it then let her do it. Suggest she buy one of the cribs that converts to the day bed and then the full size bed then you can use it in a few years when the baby out grows the perfectly good one your friend gave you. Sometimes it is easier to just go along with them and entertain them than it is to fight it; as long as it does not interfere with the values you want to instill in your child.

that's what melissa gave us. I forgot to say that. Lol. She also always tells us " you're going to be parents now you need to do thigns on your own" So it's kind of like..let us? And it has nothign to do with the condition she just thinks it means your poor to use things that are handed down or given to you. Keep in mind they're very high class, very well known around here, so she's crazy. lol.

My fiance's mother is really over bearing. She wants to do EVERYTHING. Like picking out all the clothes, decorating the nursery, all the getting the house ready for the baby. I know she means well..but I can't help getting a little aggitated because its MY baby and I want to be the one to do that stuff. I'm having a c-section and because of that she's told me that the second I get out of the hospital I wont have to do anything but lay around..that she'll take care of the baby for the first couple weeks. Again, I know she means well..but I had a c-section with my first son and never had to have any help from her or anyone. ...so It's all just pretty annoying.
