Maybe you could exchange those clothes and find ones that are less expensive. Then you may have some extra for the necessities!

Thats why im MAKING SURE people get me what i need.
Im having 2 baby showers [both sides], also registering at Babies R Us and Target. My mom already ordered my crib and changing table, my memere is getting my carriage, and my aunts & in-laws are getting other big things i need. While i know most other people will be getting me diapers, clothes, bobos, bottles, etc so i think ill be set.
I think its so selfish if people dont get anything or get MUCH when they make soo much money! If they dont make a lot of money tho i wouldnt be as mad.

Lol My mom and "MIL" said they will since im so young and need the stuff  
I ment thats why im having 2 showers and inviting lots of people, they all have to get something...and i already know im getting most of what i need already.
I know my family has enough money so it would be selfish if they didnt anyway. I want to invite tons of people too to make sure i atleast get a lot of SOMETHING.

& Sorry you didnt get diapers...thats really messed up they should have got atleast DIAPERS! I know if i went to your baby shower i would have atleast got you diapers & wipes! Lol

People broke now days. with all this crisis going around... for my on the invites I told my mom to put NO CLOTHES since I had plenty from my baby girl... so I got diapers, wipes , bottles etc.. what u can do isa WELCOME BABY and put on the invites NO CLOTHES ... LOL I knew people was going to do the same with me thats's why I put that in the invites...

Oh now you're scaring me! I hope that doesn't happen to me...but if you can maybe you should try to return some of the clothes and get stuff with that money? That's all I can honestly say...

I hope I do get some clothes this time though....it's the opposite with me. I still have TONS of baby supplies (except diapers) but I have like no clothes since all I have is pink girly clothes...nothing good for baby boy....

Not trying to rain on your parade, but some folks won't even be having a baby shower at all. Be grateful for what you did get and go to the store and buy the rest.

I know how you feel...same exact thing has happened here, so I am planning my own shower but SHHH don't tell anybody, I'm letting my husband take all the credit. I know his family would have a lot to say about it if I threw my own shower, but I don't see them volunteering to throw one so... :/

That was a really stupid comment. I even made a comment to one of the other girls that I was happy for what I got, but moms put alot of effort into their registeries so that they get the things they need. I was doing my registeries for weeks trying to make sure I had everything on there. I still have some baby stuff from having my son, so I wanted to make sure I didnt get things I didnt need either. I just think its common sense that when you get a gift for a shower, to at least get one thing - even if its small from the registry! I usually do like a small basket with shampoos, lotions, diapers, and an outfit or two. SEE PEOPLE LIKE TO INVITE ME!!! lol. I think you should always get 1 -need- item and then something from yourself. Thats just me.......

Yeah, my cousin was gonna do my shower, but shes sick alot, and had just been in the hospital, so I told her I would find someone else, that she needed to take care of herself. She has ?lymes? disease. Anyhow, so my MIL who I dont get along with AT ALL said she would do it, but then it was 2 weeks from the shower date and there were no invitations sent out, no theme set, and we didnt even know where we were having it! So I just said screw it and did my own shower. The MIL brought some games and the cake but that was it. I did the decorations, invitations, and I threw it at my house. My mom cooked all the food. Then I spent hours on the registeries! I was sooooooooooo tired. The only thing that was heaven sent was my mother cause she cleaned my house after the shower!!!

I know like WTF, who doesnt get diapers at a BABY SHOWER?????? AND I only got one pack of wipes. My baby is here now, shes almost 2 months, and we are getting killed having to buy diapers for 2 kids, and formula for Savannah.
