Quoting momofthree1523:“ When did you guys start your kiddos on sippy cups i cause i just relized today that my son is almost ... [snip!] ... two. As my "baby" is fixing to turn 3 i know every baby is diffrent but i would just like feed back so i can jog my memory.”I would say anytime before 1 is too young~ they are usually still on formula. I switched my daughter to a sippy when she switched to regular milk. Just slowly ween off the bottle.

Quoting gillyxox:“ i was actually thinking about trying to teach Hailee how to use the sippy cup soon. With Formula since ... [snip!] ... a good idea. I was only considering it because my mother said that me and my brother were both using sippy cups at 2 months”
Quoting EastonsMom:“ at 2 months? I dont see any benefit from giving a 2-3 month old a sippie cup. lol”
Quoting proudmama2005:“ they can still get formula out of a sippy cup.”I know they can. From experience(with daycare kids) I had a 10 month old boy that got switched to a sippy & he kept tryng to drink out of it like it was a bottle & got nothing out of it, I had no bottle to fall back on for him. I also have a 16 month old girl that when she got switched to a sippy she quit drinking milk all together, the only thing she will drink is water. So all I can say is if you introduce new things (ie, sippies, potty training) It usually backfires & doesn't work out the way you hope. Bottom line~ every child is different & only you can make the call when to introduce something new.
