WIC breastpumps

WIC is going to let me use a breastpump but I want to know if they are used. More than likely they are if im going to use it and give it back but I heard on one of the baby videos that its not good to use a used one because dried milk can get into them. Is this true? Anyone think I should use the WIC one or just buy new? I have NO clue about breastpumps.

Those rental breast pumps have closed-system motors, so liquid can't get into them. It's the ones in the store that run that risk. You might want to use the rental and if you enjoy pumping and if you want to continue, then you can spend the money on one. Good luck  !

they are use breast pumps from what i know. but in order for them to give them out they'd have to sanistize them. And the truth of it is, if this was your second child, urbreast pump would be used then.

Well I dont know for sure if I will breastfeed but Im getting the pump just in case because I do plan to but I am clueless to all this new mommy stuff

the pump itself is fine. If anything w/ "used" parts that actually TOUCH your milk supply, they will be sterilized.
don't be so worried and weirded out about it. That WIC office would NOT be in existence if they were found to be "dirty"
