this may be a stupid question...

but what is a cathadar? Is it used while giving birth, and what is it for?

catheter is a tube they stick up your hoohaaa to take out the urine

and it hurts   I just had one last week for a bladder test and ouchy   I hate them...

i call mine a hooohaaa too. my cath was pretty nice, a full 24 hours of not needing to pee

.. and yes it can be used while giving birth if you get an epi because you're not allowed to get up.

They didn't insert mine until after my epi...but I had a section.
I didn't feel it at all!

Only hurts if you don't get an epidural, I didnt feel mine at all.

most of the time when you get them durring labor you are numb. or at least i was. i didn't even feel it at all

oh so if you dont get the epidural you dont need it, right?

I didn't feel them put mine in, but I was so sad   when they took it out. It meant I had to get up to pee.

omg you get a tube stuck up your cooter if you get an epi?! I was planning on getting an epi, so I guess I should plan on getting a tube stuck up my cooter now too!

Nope! But don't be scared of it hun. It is NOTHING compared to labor or c-section. I had to go through both when my son was born. It's not a big deal, so don't let yourself think it is. That will be the last thing you will care about at the time and it concerned me a little before I went into labor. I guess it is MUCH worse for men to get one put in.

I had it to check for a bladder infection when i was in the hospital last week... Man oh man it hurt so bad. I guess it must be like what it feels t get your cooter pierced. I literally screamed lol Poor nurse.
