Yeah, I agree. I don't think giving baby cow's milk at this point will do any harm. OP, if you're worried and WANT to wait until her first birthday, you can introduce her to goat's milk in the mean time.

my son was on reg. cows milk at 6 months
he just couldnt tolerate the formula....he has been fine ever since.... I would ask your doc. though thats what we did and he said to go ahead...we would just do half milk half boiled water at first and then up the milk and lessen the water until it was 100 percent milk...

Hailey was bottle/formula broke about 2 wks BEFORE her 1st birthday. I introduced cows milk. She had no problems accepting it (was on Lactose free formula).

At her 1 yr appt I told the dr I started 2wks early and he said that was fine since she was bottle/formula broke.

We were told 1yr..but I couldn't get an appt 2wks before her birthday to ask about milk.. so I just did it.. I figured 2 wks early didn't hurt.

We will go get ourWIC vouchers next week (tuesday) and they will put whole milk on her vouchers.
