re: focal point during labor

I hated everyone while in labor, i hated my dr. the nurse my husband, i focused on hating everyone....yeah I had to do so major butt kissing after that, my husband went and bought starbucks gift cards for all my nurses =)

Abracadabra always works for me!  

I used a picture of my dog for my first baby and thereafter a picture of my other children.

I could get through the contractions easier if I could look someone in their eyes... usually was my husband but a couple times was the nurse. Just looking into their eyes reminded me to focus on my breathing and get through the contraction

I am putting a sledge hammer next to my husband as my focal point...
