NURSiNG?

HEy. i JUST HAD My BABy 2 DAys AGO AND HE iS 2 MONTHs EARLy. EVERyTHiNG iS FiNE WiTH HiM - HE iS JUST LiTTLE. iM WONDERiNG WHEN SHOULD My BREAT MiLK START COMiNG iN ENOUGH TO FEED HiM?

WiTH My 1ST SON ((HE WAS A MONTH EARLy)) i WAS ABLE TO PUMP OUT ALOT OF MiLk. BUT WiTH THiS ONE NOTHiNG OR A SMALL AMOUNT SEEMs TO COME OUT.

ANy ADViCE?

My milk came in 3 days after my daughter was born but it can take up to a week. You need to be pumping every couple of hours to simulate a baby feeding if you want to breastfeed. Good luck and congrats on your little one!

Pump to up & keep your supply until you can feed him. Store the milk in the freezer, you can add to build the amount for 24 hours, just keep it in the fridge & add to it each time you pump for 24 hours, then stick it in the freezer. It is always handy to have stored milk.

My milk came in at 2 days after delivery, I was lucky.

It doesn't sound like your milk has come in yet. Give it a few days.

I think we all use message boards as a way of support. I have read some really harsh replies. Try being a bit more sensitive to others feelings. I do apologize to MiZZ JONES for other posters and their unnecessary remarks.

Yes, but when you want to ask a serious question, it's really not necessary to assault the eyes, now is it? She would get an honest answer if she typed like a mature woman with a child.

Seeing as how she only has 2 posts here, I'm sure she didn't know...give her a break you guys geeze. I hate when people type like that just as much as the next person, but you guys are being very inconsiderate for what she's going through and why she's come here.

I'm sorry your baby came early It is a very hard thing to deal with and the stress of the situation may be stalling your milk. How soon after birth did you start pumping? Continue to pump every 2-3 hours, even during the night. Your baby probably won't be able to nurse for a few more weeks, at least, so you'll need to be vigilent with the pumping. Good luck!
