bradycardia

basically is a slow heart rate. Emily is on a Apnea monitor and it alarms for low heart rate a lot. The doctor said they will do a "download" of the monitor to get it all checked out but that she thinks it might be Bradycardia....anyone else child have this?

My daughter had a couple of bradycardias while she was in the NICU, so she was sent home on an apnea monitor. Hers never went off except when she would squirm and move her belt off. How many bradys has she had? does she self-recover?

My son has Tachycardia.. his heart beats fast. hes on meds for it

Pretty much  all preemies get this whether it happens 1, 2 or more times. 

I too have Tachyardia, which is why it is alarming to me that she has the complete oppitsite. She has them many times a day  

I don't know the status on your baby, but if she is a preemie, this is incredibly common. She will outgrow it by her due date, and most likely before then. Don't stress about it!

My daughter has had tons of bradycardias. Now they have diminished to almost nothing, she's not home yet. They are common. Almost everyone with a preemie said theirs had them.

yea, she was 4 weeks early. Thank yall,i feel a lot better. I hope she is "normal" by next saturday - her due date
