Breastfeeding & Itchy Boobies!

posted 21st Jun
Ok..I went to the doctor yesterday thinking I had a fever and felt kind of flu-ish and was afraid I was coming down with Matesis(sp?) But my boobs never felt warm or anything..and come to find out I had a junk thermometer and didnt even have a fever. They just laughed it off as a very overprotective concerned first time mommy. BUT my boobs itch like CRAZY..omg they are driving me nuts. I just read a thread about this being a sign of Matesis too..I may just be overreacting once again..so I decided to come to gaga about it. lol..My boobs got really bad stretch marks from being pregnant and then my milk coming in and walking around looking like Dolly Parton for a few days..but now they are going back to normal (a little bigger than normal) Im just wondering if it is my stretch marks itching and if its okay to rub them down with stretch mark cream...while breastfeeding...Im sure it is..but I wanted to make sure because I dont want to hurt little Miss Kadence at all just because my boobie itched. lol.

as long as the cream isn't on your nipples it is ok. And I have had mastitis before, it hurts, and it hurts bad. You will also have a red spot at the site of infection and that will be what itches. My breasts are itchy too though, but I think that is mostly from the stretching, because they itch most when they are engorged. I hope that helped...LOL my baby is farting away, sorry I just had to throw that out there.
