Very itchy boobies!

ok so I am breastfeeding and lately my breasts have been itching like crazy and they are kinda red, but I figure that is from the scratching.
So it is normal to have such itchy breasts after pregnancy?

sweetie, watch your breasts carefully. You may have the begining stages of Thrush or Mastitis... Do you feel sick at all? Feverish? Do your breasts seem overly warm to the touch?
I would contact a doctor just in case. Both these things are super easy to treat, and dont affect nursing whats so ever!

no, I feel just fine, they just itch, but not the nipple or areola, just the actual breast part. They don't feel unusualy warm.
Maybe it's because they are growing??

I just talked to lactation consultant...kinda having the same problems. They think I have a yeast infection, or thrush basically.....I would check with someone, just in case. Do your boobs hurt at all? I have like shooting pains too but you could be in the beginning stages.
