C-Section Scheduled

I had my 32 wk appointment today and they said they wanted to schedule me for my C-Section. We were sure it'd be before the date they said, but oh well...if I go into labor before then...so be it. Well the date is August 18th. We're excited, nervous, etc. We don't have a thing yet except a crib and I don't have my shower till July 19th. Talk about scarry. Have you 3rd trimester ladies figured out when you're going in, if you're having a c-section?

Just out of curiousity why are you having a c-section?

Yeah why are you having a c section and why did they schedual it this early you still have a ways to go.

My c-section is scheduled for 8-15 but, they did it as a formality as they don't expect me to go farther than 36 weeks in all reality.

Hey, your'e due the same day as me! I go to the doctor on the 26th and I'm hoping they will schedule mine.

mines scheduled for july 14 but they dont expect me to go that long...goodluck to you .

For those of you who asked, I have to have a C-Section because I have Pseduotumor Cerebri also known as Intercranial Hypertension. It is where I have excess spinal fluid around my brain that my body for some reason cannot get reid of it. In turn it is causing Papilledema in my eyes, which causes optic nerve swelling and loss of vision. Although right now my PTC is under control for the most part if I "PUSH" during vaginal delivery I could cause permanant blindness because labor causes spinal fluid pressure to rise. In turn this is what causes my migraine headaches. The OB doc doesn't have a way to do a spinal tap prior to my procedure so they're just going for the safest labor...C-section. Now, they're hoping I last till the 18th, but in the event I don't they'll move it up. One thing they're going to check on about 1.5 wks before is the measurement of my little man via US. So, we'll see.

Oh well good luck with your c section. Its not too bad ok yeah im lieing it hurts liek hell to begin with. But it gets better with time. Just be prepared to hurt everytime you cough sneeze laugh for the first few days. Just a warning lol.
