Introduce Yourself Thread

Nick and Mara,

What do you think about an introduce thread stickied somewhere? Lame or no? I like to try and welcome new people.

I think most new people just start a new thread introducing themselves but it's still not a bad idea.

Sounds good there's always some one new trying to make friends on here

I know that, but I think if it was all in one thread, those of us that like to welcome people could keep easier track.

Most people ignore stickys sadly   If they didn't we wouldn't have so many repeat post.

Yea, I think maybe it should be moved to FFA or maybe one in each forum

I think thats a great thing for you to do. Im pretty new here and there are so many people on here that rant and rave at us new people. If we reply to a thread late then they laugh and call us slow and criticize us for the opinions we have about the topic. Ive thought about leaving BG, but I like the updates I get with each new week of my pregnancy. Some of these girls are just plain mean. One of them called me a noob. I have no idea what that means, but Im sure it isnt good simply because she put STFU noob. I know what those letters mean!

There are more nice people here then mean. I hope you do stay and find you some friends that you grow close to. I try not to be mean, but it escapes sometimes.  

Unless it's plastered on the welcome page, people are going to miss it just like they miss everything else. And really, I wouldn't go looking in a welcome thread to see all the new people...so it would be new people welcoming new people...ya know?

i understand that, but do people really have to be so rude and mean?? Who really cares if you post a reply that already has 100 replies to it? Why get worked up over something so stupid?
