changing formula

I was thinking about changing from Similac to Enfamil. Is there any reason that you can not change back and forth between yje two. I also supplemeny=t with breast milk.

You can change but the debate is still out on if you should wean from one to the other. My doctor said switching formula isn't a big deal but I've also heard that you should mix the new formula in over a few days.

I mixed and it didn't work well for me. My son had a terrible tummy ache from it. I just switched cold turkey after two days of dealing the horrible pains it looked like he was having. He's fine now! I switched from Similac to Enfamil.

My pedi said that but we also had a doctor in the hospital tell us otherwise. We had to switch her from enfamil to similac because she kept spitting it up

Did you seem to have any tummy problems when you mixed? He was so constipated on the Similac Advance, and now that i've switched, he's fine. I used Nestle Good Start with my daughter and that stuff was great. But in the hospital they give you Similac so I thought I would try it.

Yes. She was throwing up constantly. That was when the pedi told us to stop mixing and see how that goes he also told us to try the different formulas to see which was causing it. The enfamil made her sick. Similac seems to be fine but she does seem to have less bowel movements now. Hmmmm...

See I think there's something with that....are you using the Similac Advance?
I would have to add a tbsp of karo a bottle once a day.

Yes I am. I guess I might end up trying another brand and see which one will let her keep her food down but still let it out when need be.

They make that special formula for babies who have a problem with spitting up. I think it's called Similac RS. But I think it's kind of expensive.
