post partum bodies

after giving birth -- whether vaginally or via c-section, we all have to recover and regain or pre-pregnancy bodies.

this is the place to proudly (or not-so proudly) showcase your body's battle scars, your soft bellies, your stretchmarks, your womanly curves.

so i'll start w/ my three month post partum... (i'm proud to say that the running-during-pregnancy program that i followed prevented me from getting any stretchmarks on my tummy-- even though i think i might have a few on my right boob now).

and i want to say, i think women who have babies should flaunt what they've got: stretch marks, pouches, whatever-- it's not your fault that your muscle tone got shot to hell, it's that amazing wee babe's fault.

personally, i worked very very very hard to not get stretch marks during my pregnancy and i know if i hadn't kept up a rigorous exercise schedule (which many women don't have the time, pre-pregnancy fitness, or ability (b/c of being on bed-rest) to maintain, i'd have a nice pouch and battle scars to deal w/... i do not have genetics on my side... i have puberty stretch marks and i tend to be fat if i don't fight it w/ daily rigorous exercise.

i ran like a crazed person and i still am working on getting my stomach muscles back to a less than a flippity floppity state...
