pregnancy again question

Hi Ladies,
My baby is eight weeks old as of yesterday. I am going to get my IUD on Monday. I know it is late but my doctor couldn't get me in until then. Anyway I have just been using the pull out method for birth control until then. I am also breast feeding so I didn't seem to worried about it. The last three nights though I have the same feeling of when I was pregnant before. I get really achy stomach pains. I got these before when I didn't know I was pregnant yet. I am going to die if I am pregnant again. What are the odds of this happening and when can I take a pregnancy test to find out if I am pregnant. Can my doctor tell if I am pregnant when she places my IUD.

someone just posted about this a few days ago. i believe she had just had twins and went to get the iud and the doc said that he could not do it cause she was pregnant again...so its possible!

Some doctors give you a test before they give you the IUD.

Mine made me wait until I was on my first postpartum period.

So, have you had a PP period yet?

I would just tell your doctor that you had unprotected sex and ask if they can test you.

They should give you an preg. test before they insert it. I have to say it wasn't the smartest thing to have unprotected sex! Breastfeeding is NOT birth control, and neither is the pull out method. you body is most fertile in the weeks after the birth of a baby.

your doc should do a blood pregnancy test before she places the IUD just to be safe. Tell her you want one just to be sure.

My Doc told me to not have sex until 1 week after the IUD was inserted. Just make sure you tell your Doc that there is a possibility that you could be pregnant, so they can do a pregnancy test.

I think I would die I hate being pregnant love the outcome though! But twins then another?

I'm pretty sure that chick had one kid, just had twins, and got a postive pregnancy test at the doctors office.

They should do a pregnancy test before they put it in! It's very possible though, bfing is not a form of birth control!

I do not know how long it takes for the HcG To leave your body before you can get a negative test.

They'll probably test you first.

I know my doctor is just mean, and when he went to put mine in [despite me just ending my period] he said; "Well! Your cervix is closed up, you're pregnant!"
I was like. "Not possible, you jerk. I haven't had sex yet!"

Lol.

So, tell them, it's better safe than sorry.

Also, the pulling out method?
Not the best choice. If you'll notice. My thing states I have TWO kids, instead of just one.

Oh, I know! Aly just turned 8 weeks and I could not imagine being pregnant again. And the one with twins - I wish her luck- I dont think i could handle all that! She will have three kids all under 1!
