.. So , I was one of the less fortunate , who after birthing a beautiful baby , was left w/ wrinkly stretchmarks & loose skin . BUT , I am really happy w/ my size now .. and I haven't worn a bikini since I was like 12 . lol. I almost feel confident enough to do it this summer . My question is .. what do you think about wearing a 2 piece and showing off your stretchmarks & not so tight tummy ? Would you do it ? Do you think other people should ?

I don't think I should have to cover up my whole body while @ the beach , just because I had a baby . I wanna be able to tan and stuff .. so I was thinking of getting a bikini & just wearing a cover up when I am up walking the beach & whatnot .

Opinions ?

I didn't buy a bathing suit yet .. so I still have time to think about it & I don't wanna waste my money buying something I won't wear. To make this more personal .. I added a pic of my tummy now at nearly 5 mths PP .. based off this ..

Story of my life honey!!! I've never been happy with my body, even though looking back I kick myself for not showing it off!! I was pretty hot for a while and guess I didn't even know it!!! Haha!! Now, after this baby, I'm not sure I'll ever by attractive again...but you know, I'll have the babies and I'll need to get out there and have fun so I don't think I will care...who knows??!

Hey I am a big girl with stretch marks & this year because I have a beautiful baby bump I am sporting a 2 piece ...LOL ... I really dont care . I mean have you seen some of those people at the water parks , honey you have nothing to worry about .

I always wore a tankini after my first, still sexp cut on top to get the bikini effect but i was really sensitive about what people would think of my stretch marks...i got mine from Victoria secrets...but if you don't care what people think do what you want! i would love to be care free and flaunt it again!

i would; if you feel confident enough; trust me it cant be worse then alot of stuff you see on the beach..especially nude ones..lol soo you have nothing to worru about. also they have though one peices with the sides open as well; you know what im talkin about right?

Go for it! Once I lose a little more weight (I'm only 6 weeks PP) and we actually start going to the beach and stuff, I'll definitely be in a bikini top (I always wear shorts, always have, probably always will). I don't care about my stretch marks, my husband thinks I look just fine and I seriously think it's about time younger girls start seeing what real womens' bodies are supposed to look like, all these airbrushed magazine-cover perfect bodies (especially after pregnancy!) aregiving 'emthe wrong ideas.  

this is my first pregnancy and i've never worn anything but a bikini so i'm wearing a bikini this summer and if people don't like it then screw em. i don't tell them what to wear. i would wear whatever makes you comfortable. i bought mine at target and its black with two ties on the sides of the bottom and the top is like a bandeau top with a string and its cinched in the middle. if you are comfortable thats all that matters. i wore my bikini when you couldn't quite tell if i was pregnant or just ate to many cookies. got a few confused looks but hey i was comfortable got some sun and relaxed.

if i lost as much weight as you and were a skinny minny.. i'd sooo do it.. even w/ stretchmarks.... if i evvvver get to the point i want to be.. i would.. and sometimes stretchmarks are less noticable once you get a tan!

Right ! Which is why I wanna get a 2 piece . lol. I think being tan makes you look a little more toned & less flawed . =)

haha i knoww i wish my pale ass could tan more.. i get a little color.. but its basically made up of FRECKLES! ughh lol... you cant see them when i am pale but when i get sun.. they come out to haunt me! haha.

and if you dont feel comfortable walking around and stuff just wear a cover up like you said.. thats probably what i'll do.. they have super cute coverups.. but mine wont be comming off lol.

Even really bad stretch marks are way less visible when you get a tan. My brother was a fatass, haha, seriously, he's 6'5 and he used to weigh around 250, suddenly dropped to around 175-185 and his stretch marks were baaaddd (they were way more visible when he lost the weight, too) and he was saggy, haha, so yeah, kinda like a pregnant woman (with triplets, maybe) and since he FINALLY tanned (he had a farmer tan until this Spring) you can barely even tell he used to look like the Michelen man, hahaha. I know that sounds mean, but seriously, he came to me a couple weeks ago askingif I hadan old pic of him so all his newer friends could see what he used to look like because they didn't believe him.

my mom used to call me the michelen baby.. i was such a fat baby lol.. i had rolls like no other.

You just had a baby! You look great. You have an excuse to have loose skin.
