Back to Work

How soon after you ladies had your babies did you return to work? I was gonna take 6-8 weeks off, but I have this really great opportunity that I don't wanna pass up. I had my little guy on 6/1, and I'd rather not show the world my fatness quite yet (until I have more time to get rid of it) but oh well I guess? The interview is this afternoon...sorta bummed, but also excited.

I went back in a short 3 weeks.

well my bf and I are unable to get our own place right now. Stupid NC and their strict laws... so I will stay at home with Alessandra until we need the money and get into an apartment.

I was a mess when I was at wic in the waiting room seeing everyone with their babies when my bf and the baby where outside. I cant imagine going to work for 5-8hours. When I do go back to work I will only work part time on my boyfriends off hours so a parent is always home with her.

I never wanted to be a stay at home mom, but i'm thinking maybe in 6 months - 1 year I'll cave and do it. I really can't stand being away from him. Thank God my best friend is a stay at home mom...she'll be watching him instead of some sketchy day care.

We get paid maternity (55%)and parental leave for 1 year (50 weeks plus a 2 week wait period)

I am taking 12 weeks off....but I dont have paid maternity leave or short term disability so I am basically screwed. I have been saving money and sick/vacation time for my leave. It will all work out!

My last day of work was 5-03 and had my baby 5-13. It sucks but I'm going back on 7-01. It's right about 8 weeks altogether.

Oh my gosh! That's incredible! And I thought I was lucky that I got 6 paid weeks at (66%).
