Quoting Mommy of 2 and still fine:“ good luck. Just remember to take time with your baby. It also helps if you find a daycare that helps ... [snip!] ... a daycare that helps you with potty training. It is so much easier that way thats how i got my three year old potty trained.”I am very lucky that she doesn't attend day care-so it is up to myself and hubby.I know that we were very successful with my first by only rewarding but sticking with it for 3 days-she has only ever had two accidents.I know kids are different and that is why I wonder how she will be to train???But thank you for the encouragement!

Quoting CatLuvr83:“ Careful...she'll think you're being judgemental and sooo critical. Noticed her half-assed "apology" for snapping at me?? She's sorry IF I didn't mean to be so judgemental. ”

[snip!] ... if she is hating the potty or isn't going at all we will try again later.Did you find your two very different to potty train?”Well my son was easer, I heard that it is usually the other way around but I learned that it's just the child’s readiness… Caden was 2 1/2 when he decided that he was not going to wear diapers anymore “that is for babies” he told me… his sister was just born at this time and he also stopped nursing too at that time… the one thing I did with him that was constant was while I was pregnant every hour on the hour I would take him and put him on the potty… I read that it readies the sphincter muscle for feature control! With Lilly I was not as consistent with the every hour thing so I put training panties on her and that was that… after a few accident and a lot of talking about the potty and showing her the results of using the potty and realizing when it wasn’t just a show but an understanding, she started to run for the potty… before I know it she had gone and was yelling for me to “wipe my butt mommy”!! I suggest lots of taking about it by everyone that knows her, and telling her that everybody does it in the potty… that there are restrooms in every store and make it a point to take her there first thing and tell her that the potties are there just for her to potty in, if she has to go when your out… b/c all the big people do it that way… she will pick it up when she realizes how popular it is with us grown ups!! Good Luck to you and her and just take it easy Mama!!
Quoting mama3trish:“ Just an update- She is doing remarkably well.I was actually going to stop because I realized the poor ... [snip!] ... POTTY and peed. All afternoon she peed and pooped in the potty and was so proud of herself.Yeah just as easy as my first!!!!!!”
