okay so i have a son Benjamin Mikeal, Benjamin got his name because we named him after my deceased brother, but my husband told me the only reason why he said yes to Benjamin because he's a history lover and loves Benjamin Franklin.
Well anyways is this stupid to name our sons after men in history? Obviously they're not extremely noticable like having a Benjamin & Franklin (although i love the name)
We've chosen Thomas Rien (Thomas Jefferson) & William Reid (President Taft)
But the main reason why i loved Thomas was because it means Twin.

is this stupid? or should i just go along with it because only me and my husband have to know its after men in history

I don't think its stupid at all. Those are pretty classic names, and unless you told people why you are choosing those specific names I doubt anyone would make the connection.

its better to have a meaning to why you named your kids what you do.. so no i dont think its stupid.. those people were in our history.. their names are big.. which could mean that you will one day have a kid who does something so great that it will in some way make history.. think about it.. i love the names by the way..

its a little weird....but if it makes him happy and you like the names then i dont see the harm in just going with it....those are nice names

My kids names are off the military history channel.... Gunner ( a mos on the tank) Abrams(type of tank) Kaydence( like Cadence) lol Daddy and I actually agreed on them,he's an armor officer and is die hard military

it seems that lots of men want to name children after something they love....and that is just the fact that they love it and would love to share it with there family and children......my sisters husband wanted to name there daughter Eyesis from a video game..... so consider your self lucky its as common as Thomas (and i love that name by the way) or Ben ......but if you like it.... go for it no one needs to know if you don't want them to.....have fun with it.....its something special that you and your husband can share......
