Screamer

Last week my husband's sister taught our one year old daughter how to scream. So whenever something happens that Sydney doesn't like she screams at the top of her lungs. How do I discourage this, as she doesn't understand the word no?

What's worse is that when everyone told her not to teach Sydney to scream she argued that it was "cute." My husband thinks it's cute too but he only spends about three hours with her each day. She's a terror, when she doesn't get her way she screams, bites, hits and scratches. I don't know what to do.

If you figure this one out let me know!! My 15 month old is nonverbal so she is a screamer but it is ear peircing!! Especially in the car(which seems to be where she does it most). I think my hearing will never be the same. Funny but bluegrass music(BLECH) seeems to help a little sometimes!

Lol my sister loves to make my girls scream. They have screaming contests it's so annoying. Lexi has a very high pitched scream.

my daughter is going through something similar. she HATES not getting her way. so now she'll scream and cry for 45 minutes if we let her...not to mention she's started *again* throwing herself back onto the floor when she doesn't get her way. this leads to her cracking her head on whatever it is behind her...including the hard floor. she doesn't get it. and it's taking a toll on my patience

My daughter is 18 months olds and just a couple months ago learned how to scream...And she understands the word "NO", but she refuses to stop...So I'm watching this to see what advice you get!!!
