baby throwiing up

posted 19th Jun
I was wondering if anyone was going through this.
My little one threw up all of her food yesterday it was horrible it was coming out of her nose and everything..... she seems to do it almost everyday. I burp her but sometimes she is just stubborn and wont do it ... she is almost two months old.

You just have to keep burping. My son is hard to burp sometimes, but if he doesn't, he will throw/spit up. Sometimes he has to sit still for about 20 minutes, or his full belly will come up, lol.

She might either be eating too much or have acid reflux. First, I would try cutting her milk intake back about an once and see if that helps. If not, take her to the doctor because she could have acid reflux and might need meds for it.

my son done the same thing until he was 51/2 months but it was only with his bottle feeds he always kept all his solids down, but it will be a while before your little one is on solids, have you thought about a reflux?

I have that same problem, I have just started to sit and burp him in different positions for as long as it takes.. otherwise he will spit up about 3 or 4 times and get extremely gassy and fussy.

btw your daughter is soo adorable!

Not everything is reflux, so if it is when your baby doesn't burp. Its just that the baby needs to get that air out.

Try feeding her at a 30 degree angle and after eating keep her vertical for 30 minutes.

If she has reflux there should be other syptoms, as well....
Here is list taken from this website:
http://www.askdrsears.com/html/10/T106000.asp
Clues that your baby suffers from reflux:
  • Painful blasts of crying (more than the usual baby cries) Frequent spitting up (but not always) Inconsolable bouts of abdominal pain Painful bursts of nightwaking Fussiness, particularly after eating Arching or writhing as if in pain Seems to be more comfortable when carried upright, sleeping on the stomach, or sleeping propped up at a 30-degree angle. Frequent, unexplained bouts of wheezing and chest infections and episodes of apnea Sour breath; throaty noises (Note: Baby may have many or only a few of these signs)
