VBAC

is there ANYONE who has gone with VBAC??? if so, please let me know anything you can. my son was a c-section, because my husband was deployed to iraq at the time, and was home for the birth on R&R. he only had 2 weeks, and he had been home a week with no progress. so i was induced, and after 12 hours of labor went in for a c-section. i am pregnant with my 2nd baby and i would very much like to have it naturally. so any advice would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

My doctor told me if I wait 2 years she'll let me attempt to VBAC. I know of a few people who have, but I know of more who just had repeated c-secs. I hope it works out for you!

Depends on your hospital, where and how they made the cut for your fist c-section and how far apart they are. My friend couldn't have a v-bac because her kids were only 14 months apart and the hospital she was delivering at refused to do them because of the risk.

I'd prefer that but since it's only been 1 year since my c-sec I'm assuming I'll have to have another one. Good luck

I dont know much about VBAC's but I hope that you can go naturally this time. I hope to have a VBAC if I have another baby!

well my son was born in june of 07 and my next baby is due in february of 09, so that will be about 20 months in between. i HOPE it can work out.

what makes it even harder is that my husband will be getting out of the Army when i am 8 months pregnant, so i will have to move across country and change doctors, hospitals, etc. so i'm not going to be able to plan anything... i am hoping to get the same doctor who delivered my son. we loved her. oh man, i guess i have one more thing to start praying for!  

My sister is a doula and she has helped multiple women in your situation. Sometimes it works, sometimes they have another c-section, but it's definately worth a try!! Having a doula or some other educated birth partnet or midwife would be a great idea. YOU CAN DO IT!!  

im having a c-section b/c i got pregnant so soon after my first one..I got pregnant when my son was 10months old and he will be 19months when i have my baby girl next month..I would perfer another c-section anyways ive heard of all the risks if you get pregnant soon after a c-section and i dont want to take any chances

i got pregnant when my son was 11 months. i am really hoping i am able to have a VBAC. i just want the experience! i hated that i didn't get to hold my baby for 40 some minutes after he was born! and i hated that my husband didn't get to cut the umbilical cord, and that i couldn't have anyone i wanted in the delivery room.
i mean it wasn't all bad, but i really want to experience a natural delivery. and i don't EVER want to have to get another epidural in my life!!!
