Rh factor

DOes anyone know anything about this im just curious and i cant really find anything that tells me how your body recats to it while prego. I just wonder about this cause i had so much trouble with my son and we have diffrent blood types. I was just wondering if that had anything to do with it. I have no clue if someone knows anything or can find a link i would appreciate it.

i have the Rh factor thing .. i tried to research it too but couldnt find anything
all i know is that it can cause a m/c but you have to get a shot or something.. i get a shot next visit

Yeah im trying to find something about it cause my daughter could possible have a neg blood type. I think this might affect her if she ever gets prego.

yeah my blood type is neg. i didnt know it until they did they blood test .

It just means that if your blood is negative there's a strong possibility that your baby has positive, cuz only like 25% of women have negative blood I think. I can't exactly remember when, but it's sometime in the middle of your pregnancy you have to get a shot. It's because your neg blood and your baby's pos blood's antibodies will attack each other and could kill your baby. Obviously they can't know what your baby's blood type is while you're pregnant so the shot prevents the antibodies from killing each other. Luckily my husband has a neg blood type too and my son is O-, but I had to still get the shot just in case.

Oh well that exsplains it a little better my DH had a neg blood type but we didnt know that untill my son was born. My son is O- but i am A+ would that cause problems .... And since Dh is o neg i wonder if DD is too.

No, if you're positive then you and future babies are fine. You don't have to get the shot.

hi i'm A rh neg blood type and have had 3 children i had 1 injection after my son was born he must have been different blood group when i got pregnant with my 2nd child i had 3 injections throughout my pregnancy and with my 3rd child i only had 1 injection i believe both of my girls have the same blood group as me

I am O - and been pregnant 3 times only and had 3 live births, as long as she gets a shot when sheneedsit, she will be fine... plus by the time ur daughter gets older, im sure there will be more medical stuff out there... dont worrie about it.. you have 15 plus years...

This is what I know.

I am B negative. I have to get a shot at 28 weeks and within 24 hours after I give birth. There's a possibility of your child being positive instead of negative. Your body can treat your baby as a foreign object because of the differences in negatives and positives. Even if my baby is a positive I still have to get the shot at 28 weeks just in case. Once the baby is born they will testhim and if he's positive I'll have to get the shot again after birth. This is what happened with my older son.

Yeah i hope 15 plus years lol. But i worry about stuff like this cause most women in our family have had issues with geting prego and staying that way. I dont know why i guess its just useless worring cause i mean right now theres nothing i can do about it.

OH really this i didnt know i wonder if my body was trying to reject my son cause i know for sure he is o neg and i am A pos i dunno maybe i just dont know how this works. Maybe we will get lucky and wont have to deal with it. Good luck with your baby though.
