Quoting *D@RL@*:“ What's the cons of giving cereal before 5 months old? I just don't think the milk is satisfying my 6 ... [snip!] ... 3 hours. Maybe he's hit a growth spurt, but he doesn't seem to stay full! Any suggestions? He is formula fed by the way!”My son was, and still is the same way. Except he eats anywhere from 3-8 ounces every 2 hours, sometimes 3.We tried cereal, just once a day before bed(thought maybe it'd fill him up & he's sleep longer) but it didn't help any. My aunt was giving her son cereal at 6 weeks old, so was my friend who just had her baby a couple months before me. My doctor even said to give him cereal if I wanted..it's just recommended you wait til atleast 4 months. But it's completely your decision. But in my opinion, it was no help at all.
