Which do you fear most?

posted 18th Jun
I ask these questions..because I just seen a McCain campaign commercial. And he says he can keep us safe. The other one I seen..he was talking about his POW, and how his Father, and Grandfather were in wars also.
So which one do you fear more..terrorism...or a failing economy? And which one do you want to truly be safe from?

Terrorism is scary, but there's a good chance it won't directly hurt me. Watching my kids suffer would be brutal though.

I dont fear attacks cause whatever is going to happen will happen. However I never want my children to be hungry and have no clothing so I would choose that.

The economy for sure. That is not saying that I dont think we need to continue to protect ourselves against terrorism, but my day to day life is MUCH more affected by the crappy economy than it is by fear of terrorism.

McCain's only assesst is his military experience, so that is of course what the commercials will focus on.

When I think of terrorism I think of something that I cannot keep from happening... not in my control. The other is something I can (or think I can) do something about. Should I be working more? Making more?Should I have gone to school to do more? Should I spend less? Get rid of stuff? Things of that nature. So I guess I fear more about supporting my family then I would terrorism. However, I know that I would do everything in my power to prevent anything happening to my family.

both... I think if we have an act of terrorism... it would probably lead to not being able to cloth and feed our families... look what happened the first time..

I can not control an act of terrorism so I refuse to get that worked up about it. I still worry but not as much as I do about not being able to pay for the gas it takes to get to work or putting food on the table.

Side note: Only 8% of our nations budget goes to the war. Im not sure where the majority of our money is going but it isnt to the war.

I can think of way better places for 8% to go...
