3d ultrasound @ 19wks?

Has anyone done it this early? I wanted to wait until later but I want to find out my baby's gender asap...and the doc is making me wait until I'm 22 weeks. So I'm thinking about doing the 3d pics at 19wks...the place that does the pics allows you to do it from 16 weeks on. Anyone have or not have luck with early 3d pictures???

eek! the baby doesn't have any fat yet, so it'd probably be a little scary, kind of like a skeleton.

We had 9 .. 3D ultrasounds and the first one was done at 17 weeks
There is no fat yet but you can see the gender!

My sister actually had one at exactly 19 weeks and it just looked like a distorted glob...

Why is your dr making you wait so long to have a gender u/s? Mine scheduled mine for when I'll be 19w1d.

Here is my daughters 3d at 21 weeks.

Alot of doctors will not do it until 20 weeks and if your next appointment isn't unti the month after that they will make you wait. My doctor did that to me.

Meh, they're not that scary. My doctor takes 3D pictures every time he does an ultrasound. The first one was when I was 18 weeks, And she didn't look scary to me at all. I could see the difference between her face, arm, legs, and spine. Idk, every baby develops differently though...

i havent had a 3d ultrasound done but they could tell me the sex of my baby at 16 weeks.. so you'd probably be able to tell..

I was wondering if it's because my dr doesn't have u/s in his office, but instead has to schedule mine at the hospital. That might have something to do with it as well.
What your saying makes sense as well.

That is probably true. My doctor had his own machine and did them in office.
