What to you is a friendship? What is a friendship based on? How do mantain a friendship and why be friends with one? What is important you in a friendship?

I am a very good friend and believe in "hoes over bros" but some don't and alot of women do not know how to be a good friend..Why?

What are your thoughts when it comes to women and friendships.......Why are they harder to maintain then friendships between men??

I hate friends , that's why i don't have any .
acquaintances & haters i have plenty .
No one now-a-days cares about the 'bro's before ho's' thing .

I'd like to know that answer too but I have a theory.

I think it's because guys aren’t as emotional I mean they have emotions but they don't outwardly show it. Like females (most of them anyway I hate it) love making and causing drama they have to have some of it in their lives like things can’t just be fine they have to be Alright I mean This sucks and that sucks and I hate when my SO does this or what ever it can't just be cool.

I'll never understand women any more than men but I will always have a better friendship with guys than girls because they understand better I guess they listen with out reaming you're ass for the choices you make. Maybe that's just my experience but I just don't have many girls who are my friends where as I have tons of guy friends.

Also I think a friendship is about someone who can keep your secrets, listen when you just need to rant, and can rant back when they need to. A friendship is something that is as close as being in a relationship with out the physical things. Friendship is helping someone with out expecting any thing more than what the other person can give weather it's respect or trust or caring in return.

I think the reason why its harder to maintain a friendship with women than men is that women are catty and can become jealous of a friend thats a girl, especially if they're getting more attention from guys than the other one.
To maintain a good friendship with a woman..both of you have to get married, then there's no jealousy and you'll be fine. But seriously, a friendship is based on trust, honesty, and some kind of thing in common. Honesty is the best policy, not only in relationships but in friendships too. Friendships need to be nurtured just like relationships. People seem to think that a friendship just happens and will stay there as long as you talk like once in a blue moon. I don't agree with that. You need to talk almost everyday (phone, msn, email, facebook myspace) and be there for them when they need you.

You can count your good friends on one hand; you know the ones who will stick by you through anything. Which is sad because you should be able to depend on people more than you actually do.

You can never put anyone of your friends above the other without proper reasoning. The whole phylosophy of "hos before bros/bros before hos" is a silly way to believe because at some point someone is going to be wrong...and if you always put one above the other you are going to get burned at one point.

Men are not as emotional as women; that is a fact. Girls are quicker to turn against their 'friends' then men are. Life can determine friendships as well; when we got married Benny lost just as many friendships as I have. We still keep in contact with our friends, they just are counted on a different hand, if you get what I mean. When you loose common interests with friends, they tend not to 'stick' around as much.

Like, I have a friend who was a 'best' friend; after I got married and had Aydin we seemed to move away from each other. She is still stuck in the "all about me" phase of life where money and time is all about her. Me, Im in the "all about my children and faimly" where my time and money isn't about me.

Needless to say, my best friends right now are my mom and my husband; my close friends other then them well...I would have to say my co-worker Stacey ....mainly because I feel I can tell her crap and she will keep it to herself. But I wouldn't call her a best friend, because there is still stuff I wouldn't feel comfortable telling her.

I don't think there is such a thing as a best friend. There may be that one friend you trust a little more than the others, but a best friend would just cause rifts and the other women friends you have would become jealous.

Friendship to me is unconditional support!  When you have a true friend, you could pick up the phone after months, or even years, and carry on as if no time passed.  Friendships with some girls are difficult because they are caddy.  I have a roommate who has been a friend for a couple years (who I introduced to all of my other friends) who told my boyfriend to make me have an abortion when she found out I was pregnant.  I was shocked at her behavior that followed with nasty e-mails to my boyfriend about me, nasty texts to me - and I assure you I did nothing to provoke this.  We were fine until I found out I was pregnant and she wanted to voice her horrible opinion.  My other friend thinks it's ridiculous that I'm upset with her - but she wouldn't understand because it's not her baby she told her to abort.  Anyway - my point is, I've learned who my true friends are since becoming pregnant!

i used to be everyones friend.. that was dumb and got me in the long run looking retarded.. so i keep close friends, friends ill call when i want to go out seperate

Friendship, is love. Friendship is NOT jealous.Itis give and take. Friendship is someone you can confide in, rely on during good and bad times. Someone who appreciates everything life has to offer to the other.
I am truly fortunate to have 5 close knit girlfriends that are my best freinds. I have two additional friends that I have known since childhood, that I stay in contact with, but not like the other 5. However, we always can pick up where we left off.
All of our husbands are friends as well. 3 of the 5 live far away, but are still very much invloved in my life and I in thiers.
I have never questioned "who" my true friends are b/cI have always known.
none of us have time for bullshit and we don't put up with bullshit. When one of us has a problem with something the other has done, we tackle it head on and work it out.
IMO, I think that the whole bros before hoes, chicks before dicks is a very incorrect way of looking at relationships. It should NEVER get to that point.
When you meet the right person, they should respect your friends and they should respect your spouse.I would never look at one of my friends and actually believe I should come before her husband, who she chose to be her life partner. I will still be there. I stood next to her when she married him.
I guess we all have the understanding that we all have our own lives, but always keep our friendship intertwined with that life.

I think there is. My best friend is a guy tho so no catty fights there. He's just someonwe who I can trust more than any one (well excluding my husband he's the best ^_^)

I agree with you it's all bull. I would take my husband over any of my friends any day of the week...unless he was actully in the wrong then well Sorry babe but you were wrong.
