re: What would you have done different?

With this next baby I dont want to give them formula.
With my son, when he was 31/2 months old we flew from fl to cali. I brought formula on the plane cause i didnt feel comfratable in public as much breastfeeding. He still nursed a little on the plane though..lol But through out the vacation I gave him , more and more formula. My the time he was 5 1/2 months old, he weened himself from me.
With my daughter, i strictly gave her breastmilk till she was 6 months , and then I went to wedding. I hadnt pumped any milk, and I insisted i bring her with me. my mother in law , was like "do you really want to be breastfeeding the whole time at your bestfriends wedding? lol So I let her have formula. She only had a little, but in my experience once you open the door, its like" whats , one more bottle? " She weened my 10 months.
With this kid, I want to go a whole year, breastmilk only.

Yes indeed. This is the ONLY thing I would have changed.

My son slept on my chest like that too. He slept in his crib all of 3 months, then he started sleeping on me til he was 5 months. I think that happened because I started working nights and my mom was keeping him and she had him in her bed though so then he always wanted to be in bed.

More tummy time!!! she hated it sooo much and did this horrible grunting thing like she couldnt breathe. so she barely spent 3 mins on her belly a day. she wasnt rolling til almost 6 months and still isnt crawling. i think its cuz she wont stay on her tummy long enough. oh, and i would have had her slep in her own room from the beginning. i INSISTED she sleep in a bassinet in our room so i could hear her. i didnt realize till we moved her out that WE were actually disrupting HER sleep. with hubby snoring and me gettin up to check her every 30 mins.

When I was in labor I wish I would have fought them on the pitocin and epidural (I was contracting regularly, they just weren't consistantly getting stronger, so they wanted to give me pitocin to make my contractions STRONGER, and an epi to counter-act what the pit would do to my blood-pressure which was all ready really high [and the reason for them breaking my water]).

I wish I would have either stuck with BFing or stuck with pumping enough for every meal (she stopped wanting bottles so I figured I'd just pump, but I ended up pumping less and less till my supply was depleted at 4 months pp).

I wish I would not have let her CIO, or not as much.

I wish I would have worn her more than I did.

Good luck with both of those! Not all babies take pacifiers and it is SOO easy for them to sleep with you!!  I swore I'd never do it, but we did!

sleeping with your baby is actually SAFER than not sleeping with your baby

Quoting **LEXi ,YASMiN,&&TONi**:“ From what i heard it dosent. Thats why you have to have a firm matress. Almost anything now a days can lead to SIDS it seems like.”

You actually heard wrong.  Co sleeping wrong can lead to suffocation, but when done properly, is safer than anything else.

Not everything leads to sids.  People get it confused.  A lot of stuff is warned against because of suffocation.  There is a difference.

I also would have coslept longer. We only did the first 3 weeks because I wanted to go back in my bed with my husband (we were sleeping on the couch), and he's SUCH a heavy sleeper I would be terrified to have them in the same bed together. I have a co-sleeper (a little bassinet like thinga-ma-jig for the middle of the bed between you & DH) but we only have a full sized bed so we didn't all fit with it in there! Next time we have a baby I'm hoping we've purchased a bigger bed!

Agree 100%  with these statements.  We don't co-sleep every night, just occasionally, but I am glad we aren't 100% against it!
