Its harder to concieve while breastfeeding, but it is possible. I got pregnant with my daughter while breastfeeding and I had an IUD  

All you can do is try! My best friend got pregnant while breast feeding, the first time she ovulated since she had her son (her son was 9 months old). So its definetly possible!

I've gotten pregnant while breastfeeding 4 times !
Between 4-8 months after having the baby I was nursing.
Before I ever had a period.

One of my breastfeeding books has some numbers for you.
If #1 The baby is nursing exclusively,
#2 less than 6 months,
and #3 you haven't had bleeding other than your ppd bleeding,
your natural birth control is 98%.

As the baby starts to take solids and you nurse less frequently is when pregnancy is more likely.

One of my fertility books says that if you want to start ovulating when you're nursing you can cut out a feeding a day and watch for changes. (If nothing happens then 2 feedings and so on.) Some people will get it back with just a small change and others won't get it untill they're totally done.

I had a couple of periods and then ovulated around the time my son was starting solids. He was having a bit of a problem with the solids so I cut back on them and went to mostly nursing and the period left again.
