after labor

hey ladies this is my first baby, im due Sep. 3rd and i have an off the wall kinda personal question... for those who have had kids how long do you have to wait to have sex after giving birth? and is the pain untollerable? i have a friend who rescently gave birth about 7weeks ago and tried having sex the other night and said she couldn't... and i dono how long i can wait... im sure i'll feel different after having the baby and not want sex right away but i don't wanna make hubby wait forever, he will obviously but i get cranky when i haven't had any in a while lol sorry TMI.

I waited 2 months. i waited that long because I went on the pill after and had to wait a month before it kicked in. as far as the pain. I didn't have any at all.

They say to wait for 6 wks. but sometimes it takes longer.

The doctors usually say wait 6 weeks. I waited the 6 weeks. My friend waited 3 weeks and ended up back in the hospital with a infection.

I say wait until you get birth control. Which is normally around 6 weeks.

I'm 6 weeks PP and still waiting because I know it will hurt.

Just because you have to wait for 'x' amount of time doesn't mean hubby does. I told mine that I would love to go down on him right after I deliver. At this point in time though, I DOUBT we'll be together by the time I have this child.

I'm the exact same. My fiance keeps telling me that he'll "go slow", and I'm just thinking it's still going to hurt.

guess i'll have to have alot of sex before. lol. my friend is makin her poor husband wait before and after teh baby is born! (i personally couldn't do that to me or DH) she tried teling me your not aloud to have sex starting 28 weeks pregnant and a couple months afterwards.

I'd like you all to know sex is still great if not better after baby!!!! lol!!!
