Grain. It takes soooo much grain and water to produce a pound of meat that a TON of grain that could go to feeding people is wasted on meat production.
It's really sad. Cattle are meant to eat grass, but today's awful farming corporations are totally evil. Our meat is chock full of hormones and antibiotics.

If you want to eat meat, you should be responsible and try for organic, free range meats. Same goes for eggs and milk.

The recent salmonella and e coli outbreaks are the result of produce farms being downstream from giant, corporate feedlots. The animals are so crowded that they eat their own shit and are constantly exposed to disease. Pigs and cattle are the worst.

And by the way I had beef chili last night. ...

I'm not a vegetarian currently, but I was one for 10 years. And once you learn all the evils that come with mass meat production, it makes it hard to go back to meat. (at least on an everyday basis)

Also Jessica Simpson is dumb.

has anyone ever seen the documentary about PETA on HBO......wow they showed the animal cruelty in some factory....this guy just stepped on this animals head and the rest of its body was still moving until he crushed its brain soo much and it died, they showed a little animal that kinda looked like a possum being skinned alive and the poor monkeys enduring medical experimentation...  but PETA goes to the extreme they showed them jumping on the runway of a fashion show with NO FUR signs....i disagree with their methods ...but i agree that we should try to reduce animal cruelty ,,,its unreal to think one day the whole world will stop eating meat...im not anytime soon..
