labor story.

ok im going to make this as short as possible. last tuesday(june 10th) i woke up to a popping sound & a gush of water at 5 in the morning. luckily my man was up getting ready for work and hadnt left yet.. i walked in the bathroom and was like my water broke baby! and then another gush of water came & he was like oh it did didnt it lol. so we went to L&D by the time we got there my contractions were awful, so i had about a hour of contractions, and got a epi. after that all was well i didnt feel nothing but excitement and they checked me at 11 and i was6cm & 90 thinned so she said i would be having a baby by 2. Well exactly2 rolls around and i told my dad to get the nurse i feel like ihad to push. they all thought i was crazy and they checked me and sure enough it was time! my midwife was so busy that she started me pushing with a nurse. well i pushed for two and a half hours and the midwife FINALLY came to see what was up, because she said the baby was low when she checked me at 11 and i should have a easy delivery.. come to find up the baby was face up.. so they got the "head honcho" sp? in to see if they could get the baby out or if they had to use foreceps. they ended up using foreceps and a vacum and still had a very hard time getting him out. his heart rate was dropping, it got down to 58, and i started to panick..they finally got him out and the imbilical cord was rapped around his neck but everything in the end was fine & i now have a happy healthy baby boy. he weighed 7lbs 1oz & was 20 inches long. (i have a picture posted in my album & will be gettin more up soon. since the baby was born ive never been happier. he completes me oh yea he was born on mommas birthday, but looking just like daddy.
