Anyone have suicidal thoughts while pregnant?

Thank you for all the help today! You guys got me through a really rough time.

It started 2 weeks ago. I am 14 weeks. I have always been able to rationalize my emotions and stay calm cool collected. Not anymore. I hate being pregnant, I hate the thought of being a parent, I hate kids and I feel like Im going insane. My boyfriend just keeps telling me once its here I will be fine. His 7 year old son just moved in with us and I get a glimpse into my future and realize I would rather die than do this. I started seeing a shrink and all she says is dont worry, you will be a great mother. How can I get them to understand that I never want to touch it? I just want to hide. I can't do this!

And a few clarifying points. I was supposed to be sterile and I have every intention of signing over my parental rights.

Back from the Dr, good news is she's taking me seriously now. I hate the fact that I had to cry to make her realize I wasnt screwing around.

No, not exactly a joking matter.

WOw. This is depressing. Maybe you should move out of your boyfriends house, and think about givign your child up for adoption to a family that cannot physically have children, who will lvoe an cherish them much more than you will.

wow!   seriously stay in therapy, and if you don't think you will be a good mother later on, give the baby up for adoption. suicide (and in this case it would also be homicide) is never the answer!

The it sounds to me you need to make some decisions FAST. Some people are not meant to be parents. You will be cheating this child at a life if he/she grows up with you not wnating him/her.

I think you should def contact your dr and see about getting on some sorta medicine before you hurt yourself, or your unborn child.... who let me remind you is COMPLETELY innocent here, and if you don't feel you want to raise him or here, there is always adoption.

Sounds like your hormones have wacked out completely. Have you talked to your ob/gyn about this?

What a freak. I understand being anxious and such but I could never imagine thinking half the things you think. You better give it up for adoption.  

Well we're not exactly shrinks here darlin'.. I'd say you need a second opinion (a professional second opinion) on this matter..

My goodness, how horrible is your boyfriends son that you would say you'd rather die than have a child around? Lord be..

you can go to any hospital in canton or anywhere at that fact and they can help you i would go now
