Quoting Beth Ann:“ When the baby is locked into postion and like in between contractions can you still feel it's little ... [snip!] ... today, have multiple soft bm a day and am constintly peeing. It's almost time, right?!?!? Can you tell I'm new at this! LOL”
I was in L&D at 36 weeks cause I fell and I had 4 contractions that I never felt. The nurse told me that contractions at this stage are really normal and they expect them. Also, it is normal to have painful contractions, especially while walking. Those are the ones that are dialating and effacing your cervix. Unless you are having contractions 5 mins apart, they will usually not admit you to L&D. There are ppl who are closed up tight and have their baby hours later, and then there are people like my sister who dialate to 3 and still have to be induced cause they get stuck there for weeks. When it is real labor, you will know. My midwife told me when I get strong contractions to lay down and rest. She said that you will not be able to sleep through real labor, and that is how she knew with her first baby!
