Okay, then I have one that really makes me sad...

There are a lot of Native reservations here in MN. I live in Shakopee and we have a casino less than 5 miles from here with a reservation. And you will see some of the natives drive up to the grocery store in their Hummers and 50k+ trucks with fancy paint and rims, but use food stamps to buy groceries. Some of my family lives up in WAY northern MN and I have had beer bottles and drinks thrown at me in bars by the Natives up there because I am a "stuck up white girl". I have honestly only known ONE Native guy that doesn't fall into that stereotype.

Note: I am NOT saying anything bad about people who utilize public assistance. I am however saying that if you can afford really expensive vehicles and louis and coach purses, then it just doesn't seem to add up!

Yeah my hubbies cuz is getting married in Shakopee i cant wait its going to be so much fun but i am on bed rest right now and i am begging the doc to let me go I am going to use my grandpa's scooter when we go up bc i am not spose to walk very much as it is and i dont know how i am going to do on the ride up there its 3 hours or a lil less i think i will have to put the seats down and lay down the whole time we have a lake house 35 mins from where we live and i make a bed in the back of our suv and go up there its really starting to get to be a pain doing anything and i dont have a dress yet to wear to the wedding so i will have to go to SF or SC and get a dress so i am stressing about that

I live in a small town, so mostly we get families who are food stamps and buy beer with their spare money, drink all day, yell at their kids, and hunt.
Because thats all Kentuckians know how to do.

Stereotypes are funny, because there is usually some truth to them. Like most people can hear a stereotype and immediately think of a person that they know that it applies to.

It really sucks that people think we do, but we do not get them.

My finacee's black, and he tips, but no other black person does.

If there wasn't some truth in them, where would people get the jokes? Of course there's some truth. People are always agraid to tell racial jokes in front of me. I don't see why people get offended, they are in fact, just jokes.

Why doesn't Mexico do well in the Olympics?

Because all their people who can run, jump or swim are already in the US...
