I feel ya... I didn't get any sleep Thursday orFriday because my mouth started hurting so bad. (my dentist drilled into a nerveso now it randomly hurts and they don't want to work on it with me awake, which means I have to wait till after I have the baby so they can knock me out.) And Friday afternoon my doctor got me Tylenol 3 so I could get some sleep, and until I could pick it up she had me taking 1000mg of Tylenol every 4 hours. Finally after having 6 Tylenol 3 in my system, I was able to sleep about 4 hours on Saturday night. I went to the dentist today and we talked to my actual doctor and found out that they could do the x-ray and they could use a local anesthetic on me so they decided tojust completely take the tooth out tomorrow morning. Just sharing my story to make you feel a little better. =] But I would go and try to get some painkillers, cause there are drugs that are safe to take during pregnancy and like my doctor said, its extremely important that your not stressed out and that you are geting the sleep that you and your baby need. =]

I had a tooth ache a few months ago and my dentist told me to take about 4 or 5 advils (ibuprofen) after I had a root canal done, and a tooth ache feels worse than after getting a root canal! But since you're preggo I'm not sure what you should take, I would call the hospital and ask a nurse what would be best to take. I'm not sure how much tylenol will help you. I'm pretty sure novican at the dentist is fine when your pregnant. I know that taking a tea bag and emptying the tea out and putting ground clove in it, wet it a bit, then put it on your hurting tooth will help a little (tastes not so good though). Butwhatever you do don't put cold or hot water on it as it will make it worse later! (even though it makes the pain go away temporarily) Hope this helps!

You shouldn't take advil while pregnant

My doctor told me that 1000mg of Tylenol was the "Therapudic" (sp?) dose, and NOT to take Ibuprofen while i'm pregnant. But like I said, I would go to the ER and see if they will give you something stronger for the pain until you can get into the dentist (if the regular tylenol doesn't work) But they won't give you anything thats not safe for your baby.

LMAO.. intersting. What is a dentis? You should really take care of your teen though. Bad stuff there buddy.

It's new and my dentist is super good. I have a crown so my tooth is fine. He said it shouldn't give me any problems for about 20 years (if it ever does).
