Tait is being hospitalized

Tomorrow at 9am I have to call Madera Children's hospital to see what time he needs to be brought in to be admitted for 10 days. I thought I'd let you all know, and ask some advice. I have NO money...I mean NO money...I have 1/4 tank of gas, and nowhere to stay while I'm in madera. Any ideas of how to get some cash? My family wont help me out at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated

ronald mcdonald house? i don't know anything about it except they let you stay when your lil one is in the hospital

Why does he need to be hospitalized? Does the hospital have any kind of charity program?

His CF is acting up and he hasn't responded to the first 3 rounds of antibiotics so they're going to do a "cleanse" to try and get whatever infection is in there, out

They might have accomodations somewhere in the hospital for you if you ask about it... Hope he feels better soon!! Whats he being hospitalized for??

I just hope I'll be able to make it down there on gas...i dont even know whats going on right now im so stressed out

I dont know as far as money other then tryign to sell extras you might have around the house on craigslist but as far as somewhere to stay. I stayed in the room with my son when he was in the hospital. I ate and slept in his room and the nurses were great about everything.

You should look into the Ronald McDonald House like that other mommy posted above. I had open heart surgery when I was small and it was in a town about 2 hrs from where my parents lived. They put my parents up there and fed them while I was in the hospital.

what city is the hospital in? i'll get the ronald mcdonald house # for you. I know they really helped a mom out on here several months ago. she was in a similar situation and they got her gas money for the trip, let her stay there and fed her until her baby was better.

They have a Parent's Lounge that usually has juices and snacks if you dont have money. My hubby bought cafeteria food to so that wasnt a problem but I refused to allow myself or anyone else to eat in my sons room the first couple days because he was on a IV and had a stomach tube in to keep his stomach empty so he couldnt eat.
