my son is 10 days old and is awake all night and dead asleep durring the day. How can we keep his attenton to keep himup durring the day for longer?

wake him up early in the morning, run errand and wake him frequently to ear during the day time.

feeding batheing playing bouncing , also it doese4nt weork over night but try keeping him in sound and bright lights all day and in the morning when you want him to be waking up. and about two hours before you want him or her to start gouing to sleep turn the lightsdown and lay him down sleepy. hope that helps and keep in mind haev to be consistant its not an over night process spesaly with a new baby

I don't know if you breastfeed, but I formula feed and during the day, I don't warm his milk...I give it to him room temp. I'm sure you'll have to gradually get him to switch back his days and nights, but I also give my little boy a bath, bottle, then put himto bed at night. Also try to keep him "cool" in the daytime...like don't swaddle him tight or put socks on (unless he's COLD!). Babies sleep really good when they're warm! It's a good time to get him used to noise too...turn on the TV...vaccuum...etc. Maybe he'll stay awake most of the day then, but he'll also get used to napping through it...GOOD LUCK!

when he falls asleep durring the day wake him up after bout 30minutes u gotta remember young babys sleep alot!! and make him stay awake about 1 1/2 hour b4 he goes to bed and about 30moinues b4 he goes to sleep for the night feed him make sure he has NO burps, bathe him, then massage him with the bed time lotion just befor you put him down for bed, but make sure there isnt alot of things going on or he will want to stay awak to see whats going on. then u might get a good 4 strait hours or ZzZZz...it always worked for me,
