Miscarriage after a miscarriage?

I was just wondering if any of you girls could help me out. I am kind of nervous about this pregnancy. I was just wondering what the odds of me having another m/c were? I am not even 100% yet if I am even pregnant and I am already worrying! Help! Any information will be helpful! Thank you!

Well, it is slightly higher if you just recenlty had a miscarriage, but its not that much higher... i think its like 35%... whereas any pregnancy has a 25% chance...

You don't know if you're pregnant?

I had one about 6 months before I got prego with my son. Crushed would be a understatement, it still makes me cry when I think about it. I was very nervous the first trimester but it all worked out   and now I have a beautiful son.

I think the risk of miscarriage goes down a bit . When do you find out if your actually pregnant or not?

No not exactly, I had a missed m/c. my baby passed on the 24 of april and I had a d&c on the 21 of May. I took 2 HPT this past weekend and I went to my dr today! My HCG was at 64. I go back in on Wed to see if they go up or down. She said that she thinksI am bc after a d&c your hormones tend to drop faster. So thats why I am not sure, I was just wondering if there were like anythings that i can do to prevent it. I am still taking my prenatals from the last!

I actually bled for 2 weeks after my d&c, needless to say i went straight from just bleeding from the surgery to AF!!

If it helps any I lost my baby on April 16 and my levelswere something like 3000, and then I went back a week later and they were 62 then 2 weeks later they were just barely a positive (Cant remember the exact number on this week.) Then one week later I finally had a bfn and then was cleared to ttc whenever we chose.

Take in mind though I had no D n C I passed everything naturally.
You have a good chance though, as you are suppose to be more fertile after a mc or pregnancy.

I don't know what the % is. But I took the advice of my doctor and ttc after I m/c (9weeks). My dr encouraged me to try again once I had a neg. pregnancy test and both my hubby and I were ready. Well we wanted to try the minute I found out I m/c. We got a negative test 3 months after the m/c and immediately I was preggo. I am now 14weeks and everything is going smoothly. Her reasoning behind trying so soon was that if I were to m/c again she would do d&c and start all sorts of testing to try to find a root to the problem.
I even rented a fetal heart monitor and listen to the heart beat every morning and right before bed it definetly gets me through my day.

Your miscarriage risk might depend on what happened to cause the MC, did they do any test or anything?

no they didnt but my doc said it looked ok in u/s, it was prob something to do with the chromosomes! Im really not sure?!

chella-- Where did you rent a fetal heart moniter from? because if I could just hear a heartbeat (as soon as it gets a heart) that would probably help me out too, since i didnt get to hear my lasts!

I am hoping for miscarriage chances to go down after a miscarriage. i had one 8 months ago, my doc did not have me det a dnc.however i found out a few days ago i am expecting on feb 14, 2008, so hopefully we will both get through this. i must say i was more excited the first time. this time i am just a little nervous. are you nervous? i wish you the best. hopefully we will both have our wishes come true!

That is what my doctor told me as well. Hopefully this time if you are pregnant or next time if your not, will go smoothly!

OMG... I know what you mean! With the last one I could hardly wait to tell anyone, I just wanted to scream it to the world!! and with this one, well.... I am too scared to scream! Something might happen. LOL! Yeah but GL to you I hope you have better luck this go round. Mine, my bf and my dogs birthdays are all in Feb. SO I really would love for it to be born in Feb.= I think I am the most impatient person, I cant hardly wait till Wed. I wanna go somewhere else tomorrow just to see if they went up or down. Is that stupid?
