Charlee Clare has arrived!

Woohoo I finally get to post my labor story!! On Tuesday, June 10, I went in at 1:00 to be induced at 41 weeks and 0 cm dilated and 0% effaced and baby not even beginning to drop...they gave me cervadil at 3 and by 8 the contractions were coming....they gave some pain medicine around 10 so I could rest and by midnight the contractions were coming stronger...At 3 they took out the cervadil and the first nurse couldn't find my cervix to check me..I didn't know my cervix was apparently located elsewhere lol...anyhow, the next nurse came in at 330 am to check and I was a "loose" 2 cm...at 4 they started the pitocin and by 7 am the contractions were incredible and they checked and I was 4 cm, 0 effaced and baby not dropping...I got the epidural about 8, omg best stuff ever....and around 9 he came to break my water and decided he wouldn't because baby was too high...he turned his back and there went my water breaking on it's own...the contractions continued and by 3pm (24 hours later lol) I was 10 cm and 100% effaced and baby still wasn't dropping...they put a heart monitor on her head because she wouldn't keep still for the monitor on my stomach and they couldn't get an accurate reading...At this point I have no more epidural and the dr said the baby wouldn't come down unless I was relaxed so he wanted to give me one more small dose...around530 the nurse came in, turned off the epi, and baby still wasn't dropping so she made me push for about 45 minutes until finally I forced the baby down enough for her to begin to crown...at 630 the dr showedup and it was show time...she was beginning to crown but I was having difficulty passing her head...I had the choice of vacuum or cut but I chose vacuum...he wanted my to push 4 times but after 1 push her head came out and after push 2 she was born at 708 pm after 28 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing weighing in at 8 lb. 5.6 oz and 20.5 inches long! It was amazing!! The dr. is glad I chose the vacuum because I only tore a first degree tear and he would have cut me worse...she loves my right boob, but hates the left so we're pumping for now and working on latching...ok enough story, time for the pics!!! Excuse the pics they're huge but I can't resize right now!

Thanks, she's named after my husband's father who passed away so it really has alot of meaning

Aw lol,my bebe was born with hair and its falling out,well just at the back makes me sad.

What a beauty queen, and I'm jealous cause I'm a hairdresser and neither if my girls had all that hair!!

And lucky you, they used the vacuum. My daughter wasn't coming down either, she was barely crowning, but then I couldn't seem to get her down further and I had to get a c-section.   maybe cuz she was face-up they didn't use the vacuum or forceps.

Look at all that dark hair. She's definately a keeper. Congrats. I love her name also. My daughter Trinity's middle name is Clare. I have never heard of anyone spelling it the same way that we did though. Enjoy your little one.
