another wic question

i have wic but im wondering when im going to actaully stop getting it.. Like right now im getting all the food stuff eggs cheese juice ect.. but when are they going to actaully STOP giving me food vouchers?? I dont get any formula from them because i breastfeed and i know theyre going to give me rice cereal at 4 months.. My friends mom had a baby 2 years ago and still gets food vouchers but is it like that for everyone?

I think its when your child is five. Not 100% sure though

my friend's daughter is almost 3 and she is still getting vouchers for cereal, milk, juice...etc. We live in Michigan =]

I too think it goes on until the child is 5

In California and I'm sure most states that provide WIC, it's to the age of 5, unless your family income is to high then you will no longer recieve vouchers. My son will be 5 in Jan and he is receiving vouchers as am I because I'm prego.

you will continue to get them until your baby turns 5 and/or stop getting medicaid for your baby.

yes in michigan its till your child is 5, mom stops getting it if she is breastfeeding at 1 year or untill she is not bf'ing anymore, and here in michigan we dont get ceral till 6 months

For yourself if you breastfeed they will give YOU checks until the baby is a year old. If you don't breastfeed its only 6 months. But your baby will get WIC until they are 5.

As long as you continue to qualify finacially you can get it until your child is 5...
